Creating Space
Here’s a safety tip we always practice during vehicle operations… When you stop at a red light (or any other place), ALWAYS leave enough space between you and the car in front. While stopped, you should still be able to see both rear tires of the car in front of you. This insures you have enough space to drive around the vehicle, even if the car behind you is right on your bumper. This tactic has proven useful for everything from getting out of a backed up lane to driving out of a vehicular ambush. Professionals always leave a way out.
